So a friend had a baby girl today. Baileigh. I'm not a fan of the uneek spelling. What do y'all think??
And I'm posting and running b/c I just noticed it's about my bed time!?

Re: Annoying name spelling
I'm not a fan of that spelling... Or that name.
I know too many dogs named Bailey. And they're all buttheads.

Yeah, until you posted this, I couldn't even figure out WHAT the name was! The best I could come up with was something that rhymed with Miley.
Now it makes sense. And yes, that's an annoying spelling.
This completely validates my thoughts!! Thanks
That poor kid, right up there with the person I know that named their kid something like Aarryen (Erin).
This exactly. Or a couple of my cousins since it is there last name.
Some unique spellings I don't mind like Ryleigh, Jaycen, Krystyna. But your friends' choice is a bad spelling choice. I had to read it a couple times to figure out what it was.
It makes me a little sad for the kids. If they want name license plates for their bikes or pencils with their name on or anything pre printed with names either they can't have it or they own it with their name spelled incorrectly. My sister named her kids Madisyn and McKinzye, they always want personalized stuff as most little girls do but they can never find their names because of the funky spelling.
We were both on board for Isabella to be spelled correctly. At lamaze class someone else was also using that name and made a point of bragging that they were going to spell it with 'Z" instead of "S" and only one "L" to be original. Her middle name is Faithe, so I added an e to the end, it just seemed more name like that way, but imho first names should not be used to demonstrate you unique spelling.
No kidding! I feel for these kids! There was NEVER anything with Summer on it! Unless my mom ordered it from a catalog
, which she did sometimes.
Sorry Shelley, you're on your own with Jaycen. Not.a.fan.
LOL. I just realized this is funny coming from the woman who named her kid Campbell (a traditionally last name). We've already not found his name on these cute sippy cups at BRU. Oh the perils! I'll order him lots of monogrammed stuff.
We went with a traditional name for Xander. Granted we are calling him Xander and I only met one other person who called her Alexander that. But if Xander wants to be called Alex by his friends when he is older he has that choice. I always had a hard time finding my name on things growing up. My sister is Jackie so she had everything. Granted she now spells it Jaci.
I like the name, but not the spelling.

Okay, W.T.F!? What is wrong with people?! That's really unnecessary!
Yup, sound similar to Jason. I do LOVE Avery for a girls name, too.
