We have a first floor laundry room in a two storey house. Any recommendations for good laundry organization systems? We have laundry baskets upstairs, but if one gets taken downstairs to be washed, then dirty clothes start to end up on the floor of the bathroom while said basket is either downstairs or full of clean clothes waiting to be put away.
I'd like to find some kind of system/kit that will give me better storage both upstairs and down (thinking like a closet organizer type thing with baskets).

I just bought a couple of laundry hampers (one for whites, darks, etc) and they are outside the kids rooms so there stuff gets sorted together, when one basket gets full I take it into the laundry room and toss it in the washer, the I bring it right back upstairs. I keep my laundry baskets (the one use typically carry your folded clothese in) in the laundry room so once the clothes are washed and dried I put them in the laundry basket and they go upstairs to be folded and put away. Of course if I am taking the laundry basket downstairs and their is a full bin upstairs than I just dump the dirty laundry into the one that is already going downstairs.

HTH!
I have this laundry sorter in our closet. I even used iron-on letter to label all the bags.
