had a meltdown last night

and don't think i can blame this one on pregnancy hormones.

ETA: okay, now blaming it on the pregnancy hormones Stick out tongue thanks, ladies, lol.

we went for the second showing at the house we like and are so.close to putting in an offer. so we were talking money. at the same time, i was trying to make fruit salad and it has marshmallows in it. when i opened the bag, they were all stuck (melted?) together and not usable so i threw them away. then i was making tuna salad (which i've been craving) and it got too runny/i put it too much mayo. so in the middle of our money convo, i tell dh i have to run to the store (at 8pm). take the marshmallows out of the garbage, yes, i am that lady that returned a bag of marshmallows at the grocery store, and i picked up another can of tuna fish. drove home crying my eyes out. dh and i talked and figured things out when i got home. my fruit salad and tuna salad ended up okay and we worked through our money convo. whew! it was rough but glad we ended in a good place.

wish us luck! we have two things we need to finalize today then we're hoping to put in an offer!

Re: had a meltdown last night

  • Personally, I think you can blame it on the pregnancy Wink

Seriously though, this is a major decision for you two and it's normal to feel that extra stress/pressure.  Why is it that it always chooses to rear it's head at the strangest times?!

Good luck, I hope everything works out exactly how you want them to!

  • Oh my gosh...I'm sorry but I laughed at this! That is so a typical meltdown I would have. Seriously, I could have written this. One time my flat iron broke while I was getting ready for work and I spent the whole morning crying, swearing, and banging the flat iron against the counter. It was a flat out temper tantrum.

I'm glad you ended up getting things figured out- and that your fruit salad and tuna salad turned out okay! I have my fingers crossed for you on the house!!

  • Totally understandable! You're pregnant and you have a lot going on right now! It's kinda funny how the buildup of stress releases over the tiniest things, like marshmallows and tuna. haha Anyhow, good luck with the offer and keep us posted!

  • I think you are going through two very stressful things right now: pregnancy and home buying. You are allowed to cry as much as you want!

    That's what I was thinking !!
