anyone wear an apron for cleaning?

i've thought of getting one to keep my clothes clean and to carry some of my tools with me.  Is that totally dorky? LOL

Re: anyone wear an apron for cleaning?

  • I think they're cute!  And you can find really cute ones.  Start a collection! (okay maybe going too far, but you see my point)

  • I just made one for baking but maybe it is a good idea to use it for different chores too.
  • I was actually recently learning to sew from my MIL and we made an apron for baking and one for cleaning!  I've even got a place to hold my hand swiffer!  DH makes fun of me, but it's fun!  You might as well be fashionable when cleaning!

  • This has never occurred to me, but it sounds like a really cute AND practical idea!  Go for it!
  • I was actually thinking of getting one for baking! I always get stuff on me lol,  but that is a great idea for cleaning too!! Thanks!!
  • I really should wear one.  I always feel icky after cleaning.
  • Very smart plan, because you spend less time running around looking for your supplies.. at least that is what it would do for me!

  • I have one but I always forget to put it on. I love mine; I think they are so dorky-cute.
  • I have several aprons . . ones that I use for cleaning used to be my cake decorating aprons from when I worked as a decorator so they're very colorful! Plus they have two pockets in front to hold my rubber gloves and sponge . . :o) Although I was thinking the other day a rubberized apron might be smart because if you're working with water to clean (which most of the time you are) it seeps right through the apron . . .

My other apron is cutesy . . it's for cooking . . I've been called many things . . but I think it's catching on . . My 15 year old brother was thrilled when I made him an apron for christmas last year (he asked for it) and he wears it constantly! I don't think it's too dorky :o)

  • I wear one when I wash the dishes sometimes. An apron is a lot less dorky than all the water I spill on my belly. It is hilarious how much of a mess I make.
