Yeah, I know you all raced home from work yesterday to watch Hardball. Because I'm sure you're as nerdy as I am.
Anyway, Rep. Michelle Bachman (R-MN) was on, and wow, that woman is scaaaaary. All her talk of "anti-American." Have you no decency, ma'am? Chris Matthews asked her what liberals in Congress are anti-American, and she said that the media needs to take a hard look at their associations and figure it out. I'm not sure anything in this election season has made me as angry as she has. I'm pretty sure the last domestic terrorist to carry out any violence in this country was a crazy conservative in one of the "pro-America" states Palin refers to. Is there really any concern that liberal members of Congress are plotting some sort of overthrow of the American government? Can one of you ladies from Minnesota please run for Congress against this woman?
Re: Anyone see Michelle Bachman on Hardball?
Thanks for the youtube clip! I read about it, but it was as Hardball was ending, and MSNBC didn't rerun it here last night like they usually do.
I have been loving Chris Matthews lately. I have always loved his Sunday morning show, but I was never a Hardball watcher. I discovered it during my long unemployment. He's so entertaining.
This woman is an idiot. "Leftist education agenda"? Is that why the state of Texas school system adopted some of the education methods Ayers wrote about?
WTF? Now she's saying Joe the Plumber is important because Obama is anti-American, and Joe asks questions that Americans want to know about.
Tony Rezko is now a leftist anti-American and Congress is filled with anti-Americans and the media needs to do an expose.
Jesus Mary and Joe Sixpack, this woman is a moron.
Chris Matthews cracks me up. Sometimes, he gets so animated that he's practically foaming at the mouth and I could swear he's been hittin' the sauce before the show. But then there are interviews like this, where he is cool as a cucumber and nails the person to the wall.
I usually get home from work in time to catch most of Race for the White House with David Gregory, and then I catch the second airing of Hardball. We used to watch Countdown, but KeithO has been annoying me of late. (Instead, we have been watching our way through West Wing on DVD while we eat dinner.) Rachel is way better than Keith; I wish her show weren't on so late. We also watch Morning Joe while getting ready for work. If we were a Nielsen family, I'm pretty sure MSNBC would instantly shoot up to the #1 rated cable news network. We like it because even though the commentators (like Keith and Rachel) are lefty, they have all sorts of people on (hello, Pat Buchanan!), and they don't scream down the conservatives.
Can you tell that the dork quotient in our home is quite high?
LOL!
Move to the West Coast. Rachel is on at 6:00!
I can't do Keith O. He is too over the top for me, and I think he seems to get worse and worse as the election nears.
I also like the commentators they bring on. Pat Buchanan cracks me up, and I think Mike Murphy is really good.
I'm looking forward to the Chris Matthews Show on Sunday morning - Andrew Sullivan and Kathleen Parker are going to be on! It should be good.
I hate Michelle B. with a firey passion.
Just had to say that.
Oooh! That's awesome! Can't wait!
