Prayers please - This totally sucks
I apologize in advance, but I'm going to vent to you ladies and ask for some prayers/thoughts.
Just found out my sister took a bottle of pills last night.
I can't even describe how I'm feeling. I'm actually not sure what I expected to type. Anyway, she is OK. She's in the psych ward for the next few days. They're working with her meds, etc.
I really hope that she gets good help. If you remember, they just moved to Ontario. Everything literally fell into place for my Mom and this move. I pray that the reason they're up there is because my sister is meant to get help. Maybe it's naive of me to think that way, but it's all I have.
I can't imagine being 15 and resorting to this. It breaks my heart. I'm a big mess right now.

Oh Steph, how awful. I have dealt with something like this before and this is my advice (not that you asked for advice):
-The psych ward is a good place for her to be right now. Especially if it is an adolescent psych ward at an actual hospital and not a mental hospital. I am a huge believer in therapy, especially group therapy.
-The number 1 thing she needs to know right now is that she is loved. That age is such a shittty age, especially if she just moved to a new place. I moved when I was 16 and I was so miserable for a while. If you get the chance to talk to her, just let her know that things WILL get better and that she is loved by many people.
This makes me want to cry. Big hugs to you and your family. I am going to pray that your sister realizes death is not an answer to her problems and that she will be okay.
