Lying Liar

Some of you asked about this yesterday but I had already left.

Last year I did an evaluation and a parent disagreed with it and requested that the district pay for an independent evaluation. The district then sent a letter over the summer outlining the procedure for this and providing the parent a list of service providers available. The parent has been saying that the district never did this according to the campus.

So, I went to a meeting yesterday to tell them that we in fact did. They again denied. This is when I got to pull out the signed delivery confirmation receipt showing that they did in fact get the letter.

It was a magical moment.

I realize it probably sounds not as interesting as you were hoping. But this case has been a bear. I have been put down and screamed at by this family and their advocate. And I have been trying to prove all along that they have been sabatoging the education program moving forward just to try to make our district look bad. I am glad I was able to do that.

Re: Lying Liar

  • It did cali. In fact, I am pretty sure I did this.image

  • That's plenty exciting! What a perfect moment. What did they do? I don't understand the point of lying about things that can be so easily proven.

Total bug eyes, followed by a weird choking sound.

  • It would be so hard not to pull a Mr. Burns at that moment.

We have a hearing that I am going to next week.  We have caught the opposing party in so many lies, it is unbelievable.  My boss lady had told me that she better not catch me rolling my eyes, or laughing out loud at this person.  I told her that I will try hard, but I am not making any promises.

  • I love moments like that. It's like you're standing in a waterfall of 100% pure satisfaction.

  • I hear you vinny. It is so hard to maintain sometimes.
  • Ooh, that is very satisfying.  Did they apologize?

  • I would probably get in trouble for pelvic thrusting in their face.

  • No, november. And they are continuing the same behavior related to other things too.

The advocate for them is toxic. This is her MO.

    Is their advocate Gloria Allred?

  • I feel satisfaction just reading that story.

Why is the advocate like this? What does she get out of it?
