Do you decorate for the seasons/holidays?

Re: QOTD

  • I sure do. I'm just waiting for Gib's birthday party this weekend and I'll put up the Halloween decor. I jump the gun for Christmas and usually put the tree up Nov 1.

  • Only for Christmas, and even that took a while to get going (we didn't start until last year). The number of pumpkin spice candles in the apartment goes up in the fall--H loves those candles and starts using them as soon it starts to get cool.

  • I mainly decorate for Christmas. I do a little bit for Halloween, but those are the only two holidays that get decoration in my house.
  • I'd like to, but having half my furniture covered in tools and reno crap makes it tough.  I do, however, plan on decking out my front porch for Halloween this weekend!

  • No. I just don't have space to store seasonal decorations when they're not in use. But I really feel like decorating for Christmas this year, so I might allow myself to acquire one box of Christmas stuff, which I can later throw into our storage locker in the basement.

  • For fall, we have a pumpkin Welcome thing on our front door and an Autumn candle out. That's pretty much the extent of it. I would like to start collecting more fall decorations though. For Christmas, we have 2 big bins of decorations. We don't do anything outside, but we do deck out the inside.

We don't do anything for the other seasons/holidays.

  • We don't at all... but my parents' place is nuts! Since we spend most of our time there over the holidays, we kinda feel like we're decorating there by extension!

  • We only decorate for Christmas and it usally isn't to much, but now that we have kids I think we will start doing a little more.

  • This will be our first year decorating since it's our first year in a house. Apartment are hard to do. I do have a bunch of decorations for Halloween I've accquired over the years and we're going to get lights for outside this weekend. For Christmas we are going to get lights for outside and then we'll decorate inside, a bit.
  • I go all out for Christmas.  I decorate the day after Thanksgiving every year and take everything down on January 1st.

I don't decorate for any other holidays though.

  • We decorate for Christmas. I have a little tree like a 3' that I put on a plant stand to make it taller. I think this year we might get a larger tree since we have a bit more space.
  • Confession: I really like to decorate for everything.

We go all out on Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas! I always have fun stuff on the door for all the other holidays too. I go to a "craft class" once a month with my mom, aunt and sister and we usually do fun stuff like that.

I have a really cute kite that I put on the door in April, stuff for St. Patty's day, Valentines the 4th of July. Pretty much every season there is a different theme with some holiday accents.

Yes, I am in fact a decorating dweeb. J just rolls his eyes!

  • I don't. I'm the one responsible for decorating at work and I guess I just don't have the desire to do it at home. I probably will once we buy our own home.

  • I don't decorate much for Halloween and do more so for Fall, pumpkin spice candles and an autumn wreath. For Christmas I decorate, I don't go all out but, I have a few things that are tradition. Stockings, German Pyramid, Christmas Wreath....oh and can't forget the tree. I'd love to do more but, I always seem so busy around that time.

  • I have a different door hanger for each month of the year.  I carve pumpkins at Halloween and then go nuts at Christmas.  That's about it.

ETA:  This year I am so excited that I am going to be able to put up two Christmas trees.
