This board has been a little slow lately....how about a poll?
Do you have any vacations planned in the near future, and if so where to?

I am still dreaming of Costa Rica, but with two trips planned for 2011 it is doubtful I will get there soon.

Do you have any vacations planned in the near future, and if so where to? Not fully planned yet, but we are planning another trip to Hawaii this winter. We need to clear the dates with our offices first. We want to go for at least two weeks and do a lot of the stuff that we didn't get a chance to do on our honeymoon, as well as some of the stuff that we did do and want to do again!

Also I wouldn't mind making another trip to Europe, maybe Spain?
Do you have any vacations planned in the near future, and if so where to? we are planning on a long weekend in meridith, nh for out anniversary in june (long ways away though). and probably a week up in maine sometime in the summer. nothing really exciting, but still a vacation.
If you don't have anything planned where are you dreaming to go? as much as i love maine, i really really really want to go to mexico again. H will never get on a plane again (so he says) so looks like that won't be happening. i can dream though.
Nothing planned - we just got back from Tampa/Clearwater Beach. We are going to VA for Thanksgiving, but I don't really consider that vacation.
I think next year we may go back to the Caribbean - I'm thinking maybe Aruba.
Why won't your H go on a plane again?
Nothing for the next year except for trips to see family but I will love reading all about where you ladies are going!
And it will inspire me to hit DH up for a trip in 2012! Maybe a quick trip to a EU country. I used to love tropical destinations when I lived up there and in a colder climate, but they just aren't as appealing since moving here!

If you don't have anything planned where are you dreaming to go? In theory we're trying to go to Africa and go on safari (amongst doing other things), but I haven't done any planning yet.
One of my BFFs got engaged last week and lives in the Caribbean... so starting to save $$ for her wedding!
Other than that, we're heading to Philly for a quick trip and then not sure if there are any other trips lined up. We'll go skiing at some point and if I can catch a good price, I'd love to go out to CA to visit family.
his first time flying was for our HM and he HATED it. he was terrified. all the flights were fairly smooth but any time there was the slightest bit of turbulance he would get really anxious. i think its one of those things were he didn't like not having any control of the situation. he said he would have driven home if he could have.
i don't really get it. i've been flying since i was a baby so i really enjoy it. i'm trying to talk him into going somewhere again but i think its too soon to push it and i really don't want to make him do something he was that uncomfortable with. i was definitely bummed when he said he didn't ever want to fly again.

DH and I are looking to stop in Philly for our anniversary road trip. He really wants to try a real cheesesteak.
It's still up in the air where we'll go in addition to that, but it may just end up being a fun trip along the east coast.
Ever since I started working for Fairmont, I've been wanting to stay at their Canada properties. Especially Banff, Lake Louise and the Chateau de Frontenac in Quebec City. I'm sure that'll be on the to-go list for the future.

We're headed to Italy in March for our 30th's! Florence, Rome and Sorrento. Anyone have any advice?
After that I want to do something tropical maybe Costa Rica again. We usually do a week in Maine during the summer too!
Both are so exciting! I'd love to go to Turkey some day, please report back when you return!

Do you have any vacations planned in the near future, and if so where to? As you know, we just got back from Hawaii last month (for our 2nd anniversary). We aren't planning anything right now. We just submitted our permit application to start finishing our basement, so that will keep us busy over the winter and spring. I'm in a wedding next fall so that will take up a lot of time and money too.
If you don't have anything planned where are you dreaming to go? When we were deciding last winter where to go for our anniversary I said either Hawaii or Italy. But DH doesn't want to go to Italy until we're older (?) so Hawaii it was. I'd also love to go on a Caribbean cruise, NZ & back to AUS, central/south America, Western Europe.

And we've never been traveling together, either. We camp in and around New England for long weekends, but haven't ever flown somewhere.
So I obviously have a lot of dreams. I want to go to Holland with him (where he studied in college), and go to a tropical island somewhere (never been).

We're going to Chicago in a couple weeks, DH has never been.
I'll be traveling to South America for about 3 weeks in January for work and West Virginia for a week in March but they aren't vacations, though I'm very excited!
In February/March we'll go to Florida, the ILs are snowbirds and there January-April, so its a nice inexpensive vacation, since we only have to pay for flights, no hotel or food!

I always dream even if we have something planned! Like pp said, I'd love to go to Costa Rica, and we're hoping to do a trip to the Pacific NW and Nor Cal in the next year.
Everytime I've been to Quebec City, I've dreamed of staying in that hotel! It's definitely on the to-go list of vacations.
