You guys, it's freezing outside. Maybe not literally, but I was so cold this morning. I switched to my winter coat and two scarves! It's one of those days when I'm glad to be at work, because I know my house is so cold right now and my office is pretty toasty.
I've got big plans this weekend to clean up my house on Saturday, then spend Sunday watching a Steelers/Patriots doubleheader. Should be pretty good.
Re: TGIF
AAAH! haha I can't believe that! DH has already taken to turning the heat up above 70! I'm always yelling at him bc he makes it so hot in the house it's not comfortable and it's a waste.
We've slept with the ac on every night since June!
We probably could open a window, but I've had crazy swelling and water retention, so the dehumidifying aspect of the ac is a big perk.
DH just wears sweatshirts and brings lots of pillows into bed. And, to make matters worse, even with the ac on, I'm still hot at night! The other night, I literally had a dream about being stuck in a hot attic, and I was sweating profusely in my dream, because I was SO hot.
I'm just SO hot, ALL the time! When I go out and run errands, people look at me funny because I wear t-shirts when it's 50 degrees.
You must have been dying this summer with all the heat waves. Your DH sounds very understanding!
Wow, Andrea! I'm shivering just thinking about having A/C on!
I totally agree, it's freezing this morning! The wind kills me. I've been wearing my heavier coats for at least the last week.
I don't think we're going to make it until November before turning the heat on. We've resisted so far and it really hasn't been bad for the most part since the house is pretty well insulated and we're gone for much of the day anyway. Last night I put the programmable thermo on 50 degrees so that at least if it got really cold overnight the pipes won't freeze. We've been perfectly cozy in bed with our down blanket.
OMG, how miserable!
Have you put your waterproof mattress pad on yet? Because I hear after you get home from the hospital you will wake up some nights and think you have accidentally wet the bed from night sweats.
Lovely!
I heard the same thing! I actually need to get that on asap, because I guess the place your water breaks most often is in bed! I actually doubt it that my water will break at home, but better safe than sorry when it comes to amniotic fluid soaking into the mattress... Haha
Yikes, that does sound freezing in Boston, the high here today is 77 so we're not too concerned with when we'll turn on the heat, as its supposed to be mid 70s over the next week or so.
Andrea, I feel your pain girl (though not really, I'm not pregnant), I almost always feel too hot, and its the worst!
It is so cold. I buttoned up the coop on Wednesday so the chickens would not freeze.
We are meeting with our realtor tomorrow to put our house on the market! I have a feeling we will be up all night tonight trying to put some finishing touches on our kitchen before she comes tomorrow to take photos.
Oh no! I hope that you find some relief but know it's hard. I was miserable with the heat and humidity at the end. Then after I got home it was still so hot I could barely tell the AC was on. I highly recommend having the waterproof mattress cover. The great thing is that you lose the weight really fast as the water weight goes away. Re: water breaking. If I remember correctly it's only like 8% of people have thiers break before getting to the hospital.
In non-pregnancy related news. I'm SO glad it's Friday. It's been a long week at work but we're going to visit my family over the weekend and a friend of mine who lives in TX now will be in town so I get to see her and finally meet my godson.
