Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
I've seen a lot of frustration from people not being able to upload pics, so I wanted to let you know how to do it! (I only know because I work on the web!)
The photo you want to include has to exist online (have a URL). Once you find the photo you want, say a picture of a silly pig, you copy the URL/link, then come back the post box, click the little tree picture, and paste the URL in the top box. Should appear in your post, and you can easily adjust the size.
Hope that helps!
Re: PSA: Pics in Post
lets see if this works...
Blog
Jess, you can def. post from photobucket, etc. you just have to go to the image there and copy the direct link--which is usually listed under "share this photo" and then just paste the direct link into the URL box once you click the little tree.
This is from photobucket:
You can also right click on the photo you want to use and say "copy image location". Same thing, just another way of doing it to make sure you get the right URL.
I uploaded a bunch of pics from photobucket last night, so it definitely works. You just might have to resize. You can drag the edges to resize like Lia said, or you can click in the boxes that say "dimensions" and make the numbers around 350 for them to fit in the screen.
Ahhh.
I have to work on resizing I always stretch.
Love it! I hope the Giants LOSE!
I was uploading on photobucket and then doint the tinyurl thing but then found out that I could copy the link directly from photobucket. It eliminated one step for me and I'm lazy so that was nice.
