Update on the bid on the house...
So last night we got a call from our realtor with a counte roffer (we were expecting this)
The seller only lowered his price $400!! Are you kidding me!? Lol. I would have thought atleast $1000, but $400 is kind of insulting. We put in another bid last night and its our final offer. We decided that if we don't get this house that we will take our time looking at other houses.
Wish us luck!
Re: Update on the bid on the house...
What does your realtor say about the counter? People think that we are in a buyer's market but that's not true in all areas. For instance, my husband sold a home in loveland and within 3 days they had 2-3 offers on the house. Definitely not a buyer's market there so the buyers were in competition and the sellers did not have to come down on their price much at all.
If you and your realtor feel that their counter is overpriced for what the market says then absolutely move on! That means it's not meant to be your house...Patience pays off greatly in buying a home. I felt we were never going to find something we liked, but we did and it was worth waiting!
