At long last, my rant...
From my rant last night in the confessions post. Part 1:
I am SO pissed at my friend. He's pretty weird and I put up with his quirks but he always asks me to get together at this one restaurant after work that's near both of our apartments. And so I go and the same thing happens every time. We sit there for hours and I eventually order food because I'm hungry and this place has really good gourmet pizza. He proceeds not to order anything after his first glass of wine and then when my food comes, he inevitably eats at least 2 of my 8 pizza slices.
But tonight he pulled a real humdinger. I asked to set up a tab whereas Friend paid in cash. His wine cost $5. He gave the bartender $5. No tip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't really notice this until he said "I wish I had a single so I could give him a tip." At that point I told him I had a $20 we could break and I could spot him $1 but he waved me off. Seriously who sits at a bar for hours and doesn't tip?! We have both known this bartender for years and years!
Part 2:
So....while catching up with said friend last night I sort of agreed to do him a favor. I should point out that my office does work for his office on a regular basis but I'm not the attorney assigned to it. I can do it though. I told him to email it to me today and that my email was my LAST NAME which he obviously knows @ place of employment dot whathaveyou.
He insists that he had the assignment with him and could he show it to me then (at the bar). So I looked at it and pointed out a few things I would change. He proceeds to argue with those potential changes and I finally say "look, I would have to look up a few things and I am obviously not at my desk right now so just email me at MY LAST NAME AT EMPLOYER DOT STATE tomorrow.
I had a terrible night's sleep last night. H is away and I have allergies pretty bad. I kept waking up. Then I get a text message AT 7:30 IN THE MORNING asking me my email address.

1.) I was a bartender, that's crappy.
Next time, order your food and ask for a to-go box right away. Pack half the food up and say it's for lunch tommorow. I'm not a fan of people bumming off my plate, expecially if they don't contribute. I will stab you with a fork.

a.) He shouldn't be ungrateful and argue when you are offering your services to help him.
b.) Just because it's your career, does not mean you want to discuss it in your free time. Just send the damn e-mail!
c.) I'm sure you check your e-mail without having to be provoked.

He sounds like a douche (sorry I know he's your friend) but no friend of mine would continue to eat my gourmet pizza without me smacking a b*tch. Just sayin'.
And no tipping = bad move.
I know! And it's not like this happened once and maybe he was ravenous and of course I would let him have a slice of my pizza. This happens EVERY SINGLE TIME we go to this restaurant. And it's a $9 pizza so I really do want to save half of it for lunch the next day.

Part 3:
Ok now before you say "7:30 is not that early" I live three blocks from work. My alarm is set for 8 and I only get right out of bed at 8 if I have to wash my hair or do something in the morning. I usually get out of bed at 8:10. He knows this because he has texted me before at ungodly hours and I have told him that he woke me up.
And if you've been tossing and turning all night interrupting my last half hour of sleep really makes me mad.
So I'm running late this morning because I have to wait until the building manager's office opens so I can pick up a package. I finally get to work at 9:20 and as I'm riding in the elevator my phone rings. Yes it's him. I press ignore and he leaves me a message asking what my email address is.
I am SO furious. First of all he has my personal email address which he knows I check. Second, since it was after 9 he could have just called my secretary and asked her!
OMG I want to punch a wall.
Anyway I wrote him a text saying "did you really wake me up this morning to ask me my last name?" And he wrote back "sorry."

That guy sounds like such a mooch! If you go out with him again, make sure whatever you order is hard to share- like soup. That is really sh!tty about the tip. I hate when people don't tip. No matter how little they had spent, you should at least tip $1.
I'd be pretty pissed about him texting you at 7:30. You should have waited until aroun 5am and texted it back to him.
Oh and I left the waiter a big tip. Seriously the guy was telling us how he was buying a trumpet for his son. FFS, you can't even give him a dollar?!
I've already lost two friendships this year if you remember that story but I seriously have lost a lot of respect for him.

Oh wow... he sounds ridiculous! I'd totally side-eye him next time he tries to eat your pizza and possibly smack him up-side the head!

That is crazy. As they say, there is one in every bunch. Whoever "they" are. Anyway idk much about how to give advice for this except for actually sitting him down and talking to him about it and tell him how you feel.
OTOH, From stalking your links, I now am in total love with Travelzoo.com. Freakin awesome. I shall now talk FI into a trip to Ireland

And as of last night there was a GF debt update - she met with a Consumer Credit Counselor so he think she's on track - which is great. And they're going to look at rings this weekend.
