Poll: Houseguests
This came to mind because DH & I are going down to Columbus this weekend and we'll be staying with my Bro & SIL. DH has apparently never been a houseguest and he thinks it's a little weird. I think he is weird.

1) Have you ever had houseguests in your home? Yes, all the time.

3) What's the longest you've ever had anyone stay? One of my friends stayed two nights before the wedding.

6) How many times and/or what's been your longest stay? We've been to MIL's a lot when she lived in FL... we always stayed about seven nights every time (we've been four times). Most of our friends live out of town, so we stay with friends pretty often... probably 12+ times a year.

~A friend once when they were getting back on their feet after a divorce, but usually family.
3) What's the longest you've ever had anyone stay?
~My sister "visited" me once for 2 years. The friend I helped out stayed about 4 months. Most visits lately are just the in-laws who will stay a weekend here and there.

~We've stayed with the in-laws when we go visit them for a night or maybe a weekend, depending. I've camped at my aunt and uncles, but we weren't in the house, so I don't think that counts.

~When I went through my divorce 7 years ago, I moved back home with my dad. I stayed for about 3 months until I could get my own place. That's the longest time period I can think of.
Since I've been with my current husband, his parents are about 4 hours away...so we've been houseguests there probably 2-3 times a year.

5) If yes, was it a friend's house? Family member? Someone else? I lived w/an aunt for a year, my grandma for 3 yrs, and stayed at several friends homes for weekends. Spent a week at my g-ma's FL condo for vacation.
6) How many times and/or what's been your longest stay? 3 yrs - it was during college and after, my g-ma's house became my home since I wasn't living w/parents and couldn't afford my own place.
