Friday health/diet/fitness check-in

Anyone want to do this?

I have been feeling especially bad this week with diet, the cold weather just makes me crave comfort foods.  But I signed up for a pilates book camp next week, so I'm hoping it will help remind me of my body and what I should/shouldn't be eating.

Re: Friday health/diet/fitness check-in

  • Certainly!

So my goal was to minimize take out food when at work :)...this week, we ordered out only once.. and I ordered a healthier option anyways.

Weighed in this AM and am about 3 lbs heavier...but thats because I just did 3 12 hour night shifts in a row so I'm water logging a bit as I always do.

Didn't quite cut it on exercise this week...been exhausted from my work schedule

  • I will participate... I did declare that my healthy lifestyle would start again this week...  So here it goes... I did ok, it is a start anyways :). My goal was not to eat out this week at work. I ate out once and walked a few times with my dog.  Next week I will not eat out at all and increase my walking.  I'll get there eventually :)

  • I'm definitely in!  I need a check-in.  I ran this week, but not as many times as I was supposed to.  H took off Thursday morning, and then convinced me to sleep in instead of getting up and running.  It was fun, but now I need to run this weekend to keep up with my plan.

Eating-wise I did alright.  I'm not trying to cut down too much, and work has gotten busier, so I just don't have time to eat a ton.

All in all, an ok week, but I can do better next week!

  • My check-in:

I ate things.  Lots of 'em.

And by the end of tomorrow, I'll have run 26 miles this week.  10k next weekend in DC.

  • Oh I definitely need this!  I will be honest - since the wedding, the workouts are lacking.  I'm lucky if I exercise once a week, and I'm not eating as well, but I really want to get back into it, because I just feel gross.

I went for a run today - 5k (yep, I'm Canadian), so that felt really good, besides the sore legs and hips that followed.  Going to the gym tomorrow to do some upper body as well.  Hopefully next Friday I'll have a better report!

  • I got nice and shapely just after the wedding, and was feeling Really good about myself, and now feel unshapely and lazy.

I need to take my yoga back up again, I need someone to crack the whip and make me do it.

  • Ugh... I've been doing terrible lately.  My school is doing a fundraiser through Fannie May (sp?).  Chocolate is my kryptonite.
  • So Pilate's Boot Camp got cancelled this week - and I didn't work out yesterday.  But I did get up this morning and did 4.5 miles on the elliptical.  I'm going to try and continue working out in the mornings for the rest of the week.
