Weight watcher doers

can you give some favorite things you ate while doing WW?  It worked for me and I didn't mind it but I got sick of eating the same things all the time.

Re: Weight watcher doers

  • I actually used a bunch of your chicken ressypees, but used to online WW ressypee builder to substitute healthier ingredients and figure out points. Like the mustard cream sauce chicken. It isn't too bad if you use light cream and limit the amount of sauce you eat.

  • wasn't that nice when exp would share ressypees?  yeah, I miss that.

  • My husband misses it too....
  • This is a good website:

I really like the sandwich thins and 110-cal bagels. I will have a sandwich for lunch with some turkey, 1 slice of cheese and spicy mustard.

I like the WW string cheese. Hungry Girl's Egg Mugs are good - http://www.hungry-girl.com/week/weeklydetails.php?isid=2063

Vitamuffins are good if you are a chocolate lover. Also, chocolate rice cakes with a tablespoon of peanut butter...or fat free cool whip.

  • As far as pre packaged stuff goes, I loved the WW chocolate ice cream bars. Having one at the end of the day would be my motivation to stick to the points. I also really like the steam fresh lunches by lean cuisine maybe? One of my favorite ressypees was a beef and blue cheese quesadilla from the WW website.

  • I love those ice cream bars. I can't believe they're 1 point. Stay away from the latte flavor. Jiffy pop has a popcorn where the entire bag is one point. My favorite 2 point breakfast is an everything bagel thin with a few sprays of fake butter and a light laughing cow. My favorite 3 point breakfast is a breakfast sandwich consisting of a whole where English muffin, scrambled egg beaters, spray butte and a little light cheese. Yum. For a light non-fruit snack I like BBQ pop chips or the special K crackers with laughing cow. I usually do smart ones or lean cuisines for lunch. Sometimes I add a little extra light cheese or chicken to make them more satisfying. Sushi is safe if you stick to non-mayo non-fried. My standard is a California roll and a vegetable roll. Those together is only 8 points.

  • This is the ressypee I mentioned to you on FB the other day. So. So. Good. http://www.weightwatchers.com/food/rcp/index.aspx?recipeid=140861 And I really love this stir fry with a ton of veggies, shrimp or chicken and whole wheat noodles. http://www.kohlercreated.com/blog/?p=4636.

  • Their zero points soups are fantastic.

. That's good to hear. I've been wondering about those.

  • I've always wanted to try WW but for some reason the whole points thing intimidates me.  I'm afraid it will take too much brain power.  And/or I won't be able to figure it out and then I'll feel all stoopid.

I'm sure there's a nifty program online that will do all the work for you, but I'm also a cheapskate and don't want to pay for anything.  It's quite the conundrum

  • Fruits and vegetables. Double Fiber Thomas English muffins. Jello pudding cups, the sugar free ones. Barbara's Bakery Puffins cereal-the cinnamon kind is 1 or 2 points. I forget.
    image Ready to rumble.
  • I would definitely suggest experimenting with the high-ranked recipes on their site.I've found some great ones. Example of one I would have never tried, but was great: http://www.weightwatchers.com/food/rcp/index.aspx?recipeid=202301

I'll second bagel thins, but I use the 1/3 less fat cream cheese from the grocery store

I assume the soups that people were mentioning are the Progresso brand soups that are 0 to 1 point. I eat those for lunch a lot of days when I plan on having a bigger dinner or drinking later. They are great, filling, etc. Just be aware that there are 2 servings per can, so the advertised point value is a little off. (still low, I think 1.5-2 points for an entire can, depending on the soup)

Salsa Chicken Tacos: 4 frozen tenderloins, 1 can mexican corn, 1 can black beans, 1 C salsa. Crockpot for  6-8 hrs on low. The chicken is easy to shred, and its pretty good on a small tortilla. I can't remember the points, but its ridiculously low.
