Guess what came in the mail?! Yup, a manilla envelope filled with documents and papers (copies of course). They copied anywhere from 60-80 documents! Its quite a stack. A lot of the documents had been damaged, even burned. It is so cool to see his medical records, enlistment, service, even a telegram that was sent to his mother when he was wounded. Oh, and a court document where he drove a vehicle while supposedly in the hospital and had to pay a $10 court fine. Haha, what a trouble maker he was!!
If you girls decide to do this, I highly recommend it! Now I need to find a few nice leather archival quality albums to put it all in. I dont know how Im going to wait til Christmas to give this to my Dad. Im SO happy ![]()

There is another part, it's coming from a different office in Penn. Im hoping its all of his medals bc thats the dept. its coming from. The ship date is now back to march/april again. Who knows when that (whatever it is) will come.
Caroline, I have no idea but the National Archives gov. website is where I filed it. Maybe England has something similar?
