So it's official...

I have PCOS. I'm on meds, working on changing my diet, and exercising regularly.  Hopefully we'll see some changes in 3 months when I go back to see her.  I figured this was going to be the diagnosis, so it's good to finally have an answer and something to work on.

  • I'm sorry, I'm glad you were able to get some answers though.

  • Glad you were able to get some answers Rachael...I have PCOS as well and have been on Metformin for close to 3 years now. Hubby and I are just now beginning to test the waters of trying to have a baby so we shall see how this PCOS and I duel it out! If you have any questions or need any advice on the diet, meal recommendations, etc, just message me! I'm not perfect but I've been sticking pretty close to doctor's orders and I feel much better...haven't lost much weight yet because I haven't had as much time as I'd like to dedicate to excercising but that's soon to change as well! Good luck with it and just remember to stay optimistic!
  • Thanks. I'm still looking into diet and such, just trying to keep carbs lower.  Thankfully haven't had many s/e with the medicine yet.  Snack ideas would be great though.  Didn't get much info from my doc other than suggesting a low glycemic diet (she said to watch simple carbs, I suggested low GI), exercise 5 times a week, and the prescription for the Metformin. I have follow up in 3 months.
