Need help....media/tech question

So I lost the cord that one uses to connect the digital camera to the computer.  However, I think my notebook (HP Pavillion dv4-1275mx) has a media digital reader.  How in the world do I use it?  Do I just stick in the memory card in the slot?  Do I need to purchase a card reader?  I'm so clueless....TIA

Re: Need help....media/tech question

  • Yep, you stick it in the slot.  The only reason you'd need a card reader is if your memory card isn't one of the supported ones on your notebook.  My Olympus camera's memory card is too small for DH's laptop so we have a card reader for mine (our dog chewed up the cord the first week we had her - the only electronic she ever went after thank goodness!).
  • Thanks wittyschaffy...I stuck it in the slot and it worked perfectly
