  • I call them Mom & Dad or by their first names. Probably more often Mom and Dad if you count how I refer to them when talking about them, especially to my husband.
  • I voted for First Names... but it seems that I refer to them as Nana and Grandpa a lot, too.  LOL.  But it's usually talking to the kids.

  • His parents are divorced, so FIL and (s)MIL is usually first names (SOMETIMES 'dad'). MIL is always "Mom". She told me when we got married that there was "None of that in-law crap. You're my daughter, and I'm your mom." :-D I liked that!
  • I call them Mom and Dad or Pop

and he calls mine Mom and Pop

  • special snowflake!

i dont call them anything (yep. i'm one of *those* people.)

i think first names. i mean... i have parents, and they're a handful. i don't need more lol. i have a feeling MIL wants me to call her mom but doesn't want to ask. FIL doesn't care. I'm not one to push the issue. I'm sure i'll eventually start calling her mom... after a few years. lol but our dads have the same name (weird!). i dont know, i think i'd feel more strange calling someone else "dad" than "mom."

my parents prefer H to call them by first names, i think. (they have children, and we're a handful).
