Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Water spots on couch! :(
Whenever water is spilled on our couch (or even used to clean off another spot) it leaves a ring on the upholstery where the water was. We have even tried drying off the spot with a hairdryer immediately and it still happens. Anyone know why this is happening or what to do about it??? TIA!!!

Best guess is overly softened water. The extra salt can leave a white ring.
It's interesting you say that b/c we just got a new water softener. Pre-new softener it left and white ring and now, with the new softener, it leaves a dark one...
