Paper, Pen, Laptop, Desktop?

How are you going to complete Nano?

Me: A combo of work desktop (lunch hour), iMac at home and our crappy laptop.

Re: Paper, Pen, Laptop, Desktop?

  • Mostly on my MacBook, but if I can, then I'll do a little bit on my iPhone. I'm not sure how tedious that will be, but we'll see!

I don't have the patience to work on pen and paper.

  • I'll probably do a little bit of everything.  I'll work on my laptop at home and my desktop at work.  In between actual writing, I'll probably end up jotting down notes or ideas that I really like.  Part of me likes writing with pen and paper.  It's easier for me to just move forward instead of constantly going back over what I write.

  • I'll be working pretty much exclusively on my MacBook.  I do keep a notebook handy so I can jot down ideas that come to me while I'm out and about, though.

  • I LOVE to write with a pencil and paper, but I know I'm more efficient with a computer... So I think it will be a combination, with the majority being done on my laptop. (Older Mac laptop.)

  • I am using the event to work on something I've already started, so I'm not really competing or eligible to "win" NaNoWriMo; I'm just using the encouragement and motivation to get me working harder. But I will be drafting, probably by hand and then also typing and revising on my laptop.
  • I've been getting a lot done on pen and paper, believe it or not! I started jotting some ideas down one night when my daughter was sick. I didn't want to get up and get the computer and risk waking her up, so I just started writing. It's been great for me.

I think I get too distracted online-I want to email my friends and ask their opinion on every detail, check the blog, the message boards etc. I like that it's just me and my thoughts with the pen and paper. I didn't even realize how much I missed the actual act of writing.

  • I write on my laptop and sometimes in my notebook just to switch it up.

LIke myrrrinhe, I am not officially competing since I'm just pushing forward on my current WIP.  I am using the month to move myself closer to the  first draft finish line.
