I want to quit my job..a VENT
I seriously need to start looking for a new job. I am getting so aggravated with my current job. I have only been here 7 months and its already driving me crazy. I come home in a bad mood and there is no reason.
I got an email this morning from my boss telling me that I have not been doing my job correctly. WTF. If I suck so much why are you having me do extra stuff.
A girl just came back from a year long maternity leave and is acting like she is the boss. She is so rude to me and I can't stand her.
Then this morning a temp tried to get smart with me. WTF.
I am just in a bad mood or something, but I don't feel like dealing with it today.

Sorry that your Monday sucks so bad! Just keep your head up and try not to say/do anything that will get you fired. Definitely clean up the resume and get to job hunting!
I'm in basically the same boat. My resume is out and about and I'm thinking of going back to school. It also helped that I'm working on my attitude. I'll be the first to admit I don't take micro-management well and my boss is the queen of. But once I started letting things "roll" off my back, the atmosphere here is much improved. That's not to say I'm going to stay, I'm just making it bearable while I search for better.

hang in there, but also keep your options open! I started a new job back in March (so during wedding planning time which sucked!). Looking for a new job is a full time job in itself, but i was a point where i needed to get a new one otherwise i was going to go postal on my boss.
Not sure what industry you're in, but my advice would be to stick it out where you are until you have something lined up (expecially in this economy) but like others said, work on your resume and start looking at what's out there!

I feel you.
I have been waiting for the wedding to start adding to my skill set. I've been in my position for 2 years and the monotony is draining me. I can't outright quit, but now that I've settled back into work (coming back from the HM into chaos) I'm going to start seriously looking into getting the training I need to move up and/or out!
Hopefully, by the new year, I will be job searching!
Go out for lunch - even if you can't afford it, take your lunch with you to a park, or if it's too chilly, go out for a walk. Something to get you out of the office for a few minutes. Good luck!
Same here! I hate my job but I know I can't quit because jobs are so scarce. I have looking periodically but there are no jobs, and when I submit my resume I never hear back. Just hang in there the best you can. But don't leave until you have something else lined up.
afloggie - I feel your pain...sorry for the late post but today has been hell.
After I got done taking care of all the fires I went on Monster and Careerbuilder and started applying like a mad woman. Now that the wedding is over a new job is my mission.
I was laid off last year and the place I currently work for was the first place that called me. So, because I had a wedding to pay for I took the job. It's been a year of hell and craziness. I can't wait to get out of here.
