Trying to get a bun in the oven

Morning ladies!

Hope ya'll had a great weekend!

This is for those of you TTC. How many of you are doing charting and checking your temp, etc? I check in on The Bump ttc site and they are always talking about temps, etc. DH and I are just doing it the old fashioned way right now. No charting, no temp taking, nothing.

just curious if we were the only ones who are just letting nature take it's course.

We're not TTC, but I check my temp and chart as a BC method instead. I started reading "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" and it has some great information on using this method for both TTC and BC. Hopefully having all that information will make it easier and quicker when we finally do decided to TTC.

Good luck! Hopefully it happens fast and you don't need to consider charting!

We are doing the same thing you are doing! I am just keeping track of when AF will come and different things like that but Im not doing them temp thing

Whew! glad i'm not the only one then! I like checking in on that board, expecially b/c i thought i would be able to chat with some others who are TTC, but it seems like they are all talking about their charts and all that stuff, so i don't have a whole lot to add to their discussions and i don't have much for them to add to mine. I'll just stick with you ladies Smile

If by "doing it the old fashioned way" you mean getting it on as often as possible, that's what we've been doing, and now I have every sign. SIL is convinced I'm definitely KU. No positive stick yet. If you go a few months of the old fashioned way without any luck, then I would start taking temps each morning.

i've just been keeping track of AF for the past few months...then this month am using the nifty internet calculators to plug in the 1st day of my cycle to determine my window of fertility....

i figured we'd go at it tihs way for a few months....maybe start the temping/charting stuff in the new year if we aren't having any success

but i'm thinking about trying the temping stuff after we have our first as BC....hormonal BC just throws my body off something wicked....

We are gonna start TTC next week and we plan on doing it the old fashioned way too. DH had 3 within a year and a half, so i call him the baby machine

I threw my last period into the ovulation calculator to see kinda when but we do it regularly enough that I really didn't have to! Did you know sperm counts go down if you do it too much? And they get old and lazy if you don't do it enough!
