Well, that weekend was, uh, interesting.
Tim came over on Friday night to help Derek out with drywall (Ryley is home for a few days, btw! He's doing very well and almost at the halfway point for treatment). 2 trips to Home Depot and nearly a case of beer later the boys finally stumbled into bed around 4:30 am. The ceiling was so out of level and wavy that they ended up dropping it and building a new platform to drywall on.
Saturday we were all up by 8:30am to head to Rona. They had trim on for 3 for the price of 2, so we loaded up. We ended up with all the trim we need for the main floor (except the baseboard, which we're getting for free from Derek's work) and saved over $250.
Sunday was spent doing things around the house. I went to the gym and raked the leaves on the front lawn. And now I have blisters. Boo. I helped Derek with some electrical last night and now the back room is almost done! I think I might suggest we hire someone to do the mudding.....
How was everyone's weekend?
Re: Good Morning!
Good Morning, Ladies! Had a great weekend. We went to dinner at a friend's house Saturday, then did a big hike and had friends over to our house yesterday for my birthday dinner. It was fun, and I got the snowshoes and trekking poles I wanted. And, we had pumpkin cheesecake and pumpkin ice cream.
Have a great day, everyone.
We had a so-so weekend. We got all our chores, gym-going and other to-dos done. But on the way home from grocery shopping on Saturday, we hit a deer on Rockville freaking Pike (very busy six-lane road). There's damage to our passenger side panel, light, hood and grille; the panel curled up into a sharp point with the impact and all I can say is that I feel really bad for the deer and hope it didn't suffer too much.
We filed a claim right afterward and dropped off our car at the body shop this morning; it'll be out of commission for the next week and a half. It's a good thing we tend to Metro most places.
Tonight we're doing the early voting thing and then laundry. I'm hoping the rumored thunderstorms hold off until we're done lugging up the laundry to our apartment.
Good morning all!
My weekend was pretty good. I posted below about my 5k
After the race, we headed for dim sum and grocery shopping in the part of town where I grew up. The market that we visited is the only place in town that sells curing salts.
That's right. We are curing our own bacon...
We ended up canceling yesterday's lunch with the ILs because V's busy working on his thesis and papers. I was relieved because I really wanted a day to rest, and also because it sounds like MIL is being dramatic again. Last night I also had my first rehearsal for a couple of concerts I'll be performing in next week (I agreed to fill in for a friend). This is going to be some of the weirdest 'music' I've ever performed... IMO it's "music" in the way that 3 cats walking on a piano is "music" (without the accompanying orchestra).

Good Morning!
We had a pretty good weekend. Went up north with DH's family. Had a great halloween party, did some hiking. I am finally starting to feel better and hoping for some good house news this week!
I hope everyone has a great week!
Morning ladies!
My weekend was not to entertaining. I had Friday night Zumba, and then Ryan went out with a few of the guys.
Saturday was a pj day for both DH and I. We then realized we had no food in the house, so the whole family went grocery shopping. We now know that Saturday nights is the time to hit the grocery store. It was dead there. The boys did great, we had 2 carriages, each of us took a kid, and followed each other around the store.
Sunday DH went for his CPR recertification and I spent the day with the boys. Well of course Zach has a nasty cold, and was fussy and wanting to be held all day, so I felt like I neglected Christian most of the day. Let me tell you, it was crazy trying to take care of two babies, and get laundry done, and clean the house.
On a side note, Christian rolled over for the first time lastnight. I may or may not have shed a tear!
Good morning!
I had a pretty good weekend. Friday night I got my massive load of homework out of the way. Saturday I had mariachi practice which went pretty well and date night with Eddie. Sunday we had my parents and ILs over for some dinner.
Have a great day ladies.
Good morning.
Our weekend definitely did not go the way we planned. I left work on Friday and met a friend to go to the Homecoming parade. Shortly after we met I got a text from DH that his grandpa was not expected to live through the night. He has been struggling with Parkinson's for a while now and recently it got worse. When we were visiting last weekend we thought it may be the last time that we would see him alive.
We went to the farmer's market in the morning and hadn't heard from DH's family. His grandfather passed away toward the end of the market. Once we were able to get out of the market we left town to go be with his family. We came home last night for a few days before we go back for the funeral. Sorry for the depressing post. It was good to see all of DH's family again and given the situation we had a pretty good time over there.

Hey ladies! I spent most of the weekend sorting/packing and figuring out logistics for moving, and catching up on Mad Men. E was parked in front of the computer editing articles for the law journal he runs, since it now has to go to print before he leaves London, which is 9 days from now!
We also had a friend's 30th bday, which was a fun night out with lots of dancing, and then were up til 5am watching the Phillies lose on Saturday night. Booo.
Now jumping domestically.
Well that was a crazy couple of years.
abarber340- I'm sorry about your DH's Grandpa.
My weekend was great. Date night friday with DH. Saturday we got tons of organization done. Sunday we did a Taste of Atlanta and walked 5 miles. All in all a good weekend.
I'm sorry about DH's grandpa.
Good morning ladies.
abarber* I'm so sorry to hear about DH's grandpa. My thoughts are with you both.
I had to work yesterday, on top of having the cold from he11. I've probably been sleeping for 5 days straight, and I'm still all stuffed up and miserable. I'm home for one more day, and then I think I have to make an appearance back at work. I hate being sick.
