But I did it, I did it! I successfully rode 45 miles in the Livestrong Challenge yesterday! My definition of success is that I crossed the finish line alive and on my bike- doesn't matter that it took me 6 hours to do it! I am still in disbelief at this accomplishment but my soreness is serving as a nice reminder today. And to top this off...I did it on my stinkin' Schwinn MOUNTAIN bike that weighs nearly a ton (I swear I think it might!). My coach, Kathleen, was really great and super patient with me throughout training and it paid off when I saw her smiling face (along with 2 other co-workers) cheering me on at the finish line!
Thanks for all of your "likes" and comments on my FB yesterday...it helped to see them when I was stopped at the rest stops.
And total FAIL...I passed Patrick Dempsey and Lance Armstrong as they were riding the other way (on their way back) on the course and I was walking my bike up a hill- yep, walking! Of course, I coudn't pass them 5 minutes earlier or later when I was zooming DOWN a hill!

WOOHOO!
Heck, we got a bike recently and man, it was harder than I remember! I long for the days of the Huffy with its puffy bike seat - I can't imagine how sore you must be.
