Me and H are planning on doing a christmas card, a flat maybe 5x7 card with a pictures of us and our two dogs on it, but I don't want to take the typical in front of the tree picture, and I don't want to put a wedding pic on it because I'm sure people are tired of seeing us in our wedding day clothes. Does anyone have any ideas of cute pictures ideas we can do? I'm not creative at all in this catagory! TIA

Where do you live? Do you get snow early in the year (or at all)? I think it would be fun to do snow pictures with some cute boots and a colorful hat and scarf.
Or maybe somewhere with a nice stone fireplace background - like ski lodge type of feel. Not sure where you might find that, but it sounds awesome. :-)
I love a woodsy backdrop. Snow would be a plus.
I'm not sure if we're doing photo cards. I would like to but I bought x-mas cards last year on clearance for $2 and I don't want to have to buy new ones. I want to go to Yosemite in the next few weeks and a picture there would make for a perfect X-mas card photo.
In the past we (me, MFD, the two dogs) have done pics with MFD in a robe, pics in super fancy clothes, outdoor photos, etc.
This year we are dressing up like Mr. & Mrs. Claus with reindeer antlers for the dogs and propping a just married sign in the photo somewhere.
In case it was not obvious, we like to do something a little quirky every year.
stephanie--a friend of mine gets REALLY quirky holiday cards from one of their other friends every year. last year they staged a photo op IN THE HOSPITAL of her giving birth (no, not even pregnant IRL) with the guy pulling the baby out, and the baby (doll) is a black baby. they are white. the guys face is shock and hers is "oops, you found out!"
SOOOO random, but totally funny.

OMG. Heee-larious.
Shauni-thats halarious!
I wish we had snow, we ive in Austin, Texas, so we don't get snow often and if we do it won't be until january or febuary. It would be easier to use an engagement picture but we really want our dogs in them. Thanks for the advice, I will keep that in mind. Keep em coming!
