Challenge update...

So, how did everyone do this past week?

I was not perfect, but not as bad as previous weeks.  I tried not to indulge in the Halloween sugar cookie with sprinkles but I could not resist, I ate three!

Yesterday I did some weight lifting and I'm sore this morning.  Goal is to eat healthier this week and go to the gym at least every other day.

Down one lb, nine more to go!

Re: Challenge update...

  • I weighed myself yesterday and I'm down 3Ibs...woohoo!!!

I'll be honest - I haven't done a damn thing to work out because I absolutely loath it!  I loosly did WW back in March and lost 20Ibs in 4 months so I've just gone back to eating what I did then and so far it's working!  Even with eating pizza on Friday, sandwich/soup at Bakers Crust on Sat after picking apples, and mexican last night with friends!

  • we dont have a scale and the only ones at my gym are metric and i don't know how to use them!  i think it would be a lot easier if i weighed myself so i had a number i could use as a reference...

either way, friday day and night i did mostly good, we went out to eat and i got mushroom risotto with spinach.  not too healthy (but not the worst thing i could have ordered!) i also went to the gym.

saturday we ate out for lunch (spoiled!) and i had a salad that was to.die.for.  so light and healthy.  i also had a few bites of gerrens 10 trillion calorie cheddar soup and bread. dinner was CHILI salad, and zuchini.  we had apple crisp, but i didnt have any.  i did however have 4 mugs of spiked cider.

yesterday i sucked and had cookies, pasta, stuffed shells and some chips.  oh and bacon and 2 cinnamon buns (small ones!) for breakfast.  but i went to the gym.

i find that weekends are much harder, but this week i should be good!  gym 4 times, and meals are all planned out.  today i might go over my calorie allotment since i brought leftover stuffed shells for lunch (but to be fair, they are made with ground turkey instead of beef and fat free ricotta!)

  • I am hiding in shame from this thread today.  I think I drank my body weight in beer this weekend and was too afraid to get on the scale this morning.  On the flip side, though, I drank all that beer at an awesome blue grass concert where I was dancing my azz off so hard my legs are still sore today.  So I guess that counts as some sort of exercise? Embarrassed

  • Yonder Mountain String Band.  K loves them, so I took him for his birthday!  They never disappoint.  It was an awesome show!  Do you know them?

  • dfhdifdjsalkjllfd gerren and i go and see them EVERY FALL!!!!!  every year since 2005!  we are the samesies.

the only thing i dont like about their shows is all of the young college kids, white kids with dreadlocks smoking pot and wearing hemp jewelry and trying to look like hippies.  it is so annoying.

  • I was bad. I made smores brownies and didn't exercise at all.
  • Sunshine, Yes it counts!

    LTB, the brownies sound yummy!

  • Also bad this past week. I don't know if I'm stressed or what (I think I'm stressed because of the weight I put on). We had friends over on Saturday to watch the Phillies fail miserably so ate a ton there (although made awesome pumpkin dip for it from all recipes - only 61 cals for 2 tbsp which is a ton dip wise!) Sunday, H woke up sick so I ate like crap and took care of him all day (definitely my own fault but had yummy leftovers to eat). Oh well, woke up this morning, did kick boxing and a walking workout on Exercise TV then just got off the elliptical on my lunch break. It's another week, and hopefully a healthier one...

  • I've been drinking tons of water and managed to only have one glass of soda all week!

I'm pretty good with food during the week; it's easy for me to stick to meal plans, but I'm awful on the weekends. Well, I wasn't TERRIBLE on the weekends, just not so good as on the weekdays.

I've been exercising a lot. My co-worker friend and I have been going on ~30 min walks everyday. I've done the 30 day shred 4 days a week and I've had soccer and zumba.

I forgot to weigh myself this morning, so I don't know if I lost or anything, but my pants feel a bit looser, so yay!

This weekend is going to be awful. Holidays inspire me to bake and H wants me to make this and this and I want to make this, not to mention the urge to make halloween sugar cookies and cupcakes. Le sigh.

  • Lauriac- The second "this" is making me want to make the ones sitting in my cupboard right.this.second. ARGH. I love stuff like that. mmmm...

  • I belatedly realized that a weight loss challenge post isn't necessarily an appropriate place to post links to yummy calorie full awesomeness.

    EmbarrassedSorry!

  • I guess mine kinda equaled out. We went camping this weekend with my sister and nieces. We had mostly hot dogs or sandwiches with chips or fruit or peanuts and at night, s'mores. But we walked everywhere and even went on a 6 mile hiking trail. I'm going to the gym tonight and had chicken and carrots for lunch.

I did make cube steak last night with mashed potatoes and veggies but DH wanted them fried and I never fry food so I caved. I had small portions though.

Either walking/jogging or the gym tonight.

Niiice!  We always see them whenever the come around.  This weekend they were in downtown DC, so there weren't that many dirty, pot smoking hippies. :-P  We always try to make it to at least one festival that they play each summer, too.  They rocked this weekend!  It was a Saturday night show, and we left after 2am and they were still kickin', but we were going to miss the last Metro home if we didn't leave.

  • My mini goal for last week was to limit my soda intake and so far its been going very well. I had a can of diet pop at the in laws yesterday and it was sweet, so that is a good sign.

I also have not been eating out so that is a huge thing for me.

But..my BFF and I drank 2 bottles of wine on Friday night, oops :o)

  • I did good last week on eating, and I made it to the gym three times, which is my minimum.

I ate everything in sight on Sunday since I had a hangover.

Today back to it, logging food and sweated my beeeeehind off in zumba at lunch.

Friends commented this weekend that I look thinner in my face and legs. Whoot.
