We are going to go for our one year wedding anniversary in August. So we'll be theere August 7th to 11th.
I was going to book our flights this weekend. So I was just curious. I am a big planner, so this seems, a little early to some, but to me it just keeps everything in line!
The cheapest and BEST way to get there???
Fly to Logan in Boston and then take a cab to the fast ferry dock and go from there. Keep in mind there are two fast ferries. So, be sure to plan ahead which one you are going to when giving the cabbie directions.
Best place to stay is the Crowne Pointe Inn in Ptown.
We actually were married there in June
hehe
Agree with pp - fly into Logan and take ferry. If you do a search for Boston Provincetown ferry the site will come up. Bear in mind that the ferry is like $70 (can't remember exact price - just remember thinking it was kind of a lot). Though still probably cheaper than a rental car - the drive from Boston to PTown is about 2.5 - 3 hours.
If you flew into TF Green in Providence, RI - that would only be about a 1.5 hour drive to PTown. You definitely don't need a car IN PTown, but if you wanted to exlpore other towns on the Cape, you'd want one.

Is Ptown dog friendly?
Here is the ferry website

Now you have me all wanting to go to p-town! Perhaps we could arrange another east coast meet up. Now I am off to look at hotel deals for a weekend getaway for the wife and I!
A Ptown gtg, could always be fun. My wife and all of you may leave me behind when it comes time to hit up the 'night scene'.
I've been wanting to go to PTown for a while now...
When is the best time of year to go? I remember looking into it for our Honeymoon, but it was kinda dead in November...
I don't recommend any time between mid November and late May unless you REALLY want a QUIET vacation.
We were there last year for our honeymoon Oct 14-19 (or similar) and many of the restaurants and stores were closed for the season. This limited our options quite a bit because PTown is small to begin with!
But yes, the summer is very busy, and just before and just after summer will be less busy, but more will be open than in the off-season.
