Tell me about your cell phone plan
We have a family plan with Cincinnati Bell. I think we have 1000 minutes or so (they no longer offer our plan), no texting or data, no contract, etc., and pay about $86 per month after taxes & fees. Sometimes the service/reception isn't the best and our batteries are starting to go (phones will be 2 years old next month.) I'm not opposed to a data plan for myself but the cost does hold me back.
So...
Who do you use?
What does your plan include? (minutes, texting, data, etc)
And cost, if you feel ok posting that.
Re: Tell me about your cell phone plan
I did not know about that site-thanks!
We had the WORST customer service EVER from Cincy Bell and switched to AT&T over a year ago. We've had no problems with AT&T at all.
We have two smart phones with unlimited data & 200 txt msgs per month.
We started with a 1400 minute plan and downgraded to a 500 min plan once we accrued some rollover minutes.
We pay $117/m after a 20% discount on service thru my employer.
I have verizon. I get 450 minutes (plus free calls to other verizon people) for 39.99 and unlimited data for 29.99, plus 250 texts for $5. (I'm not a huge texter so that's enough.) I have an individual plan because H's work pays for his phone.
I think Verizon's pricey, but their coverage is great. I rarely drop calls and I drive all over creation. I'm too afraid to switch to another carrier that might not have the coverage that Verizon does. Plus, if I go over on my minutes, they've let me temporarily switch to the 900 minute plan for $20 more and then switch back at the end of the month.
Verizon has pissed me off at times, but if you call them and threaten to switch carriers, they'll usually give you what you want.
I'm really quite happy with my plan. I have Sprint'sEverything 69.99 plan that basically gives me everything I need.
* Unlimited mobile to mobile (regardless of carrier. Unlimited calls to any cell phone. so the only calls for which I am charged minutes are to landlines or 800 numbers. I have 450 minutes for these calls for which I am charged minutes). Unlimited nights and weekends (start at 7pm)
* Unlimited texting
* Unlimited data
* Unlimited Picture Mail
The only drawback is Sprint's costumer service which is notoriously bad but I have to say the last two times I have had to contact them they have been much improved. However that might just be a fluke. But I love this plan and think $70 is very reasonable for what I get.
I know alot of people who have the same plan with Sprint as Moesten but I'm not sure on their coverage since I don't personally have Sprint.
DH and I have iPhones through AT&T. I can't live without my iPhone, I am officially addicted! We have a family plan with 700 minutes, unlimited data and 200 texts each and we pay $140/month. With the rollover minutes we have accrued we have TONS of minutes in case we ever go over.
Well I just switched from Sprint to AT&T since I wanted the iPhone and DH has a Droid 2 through work.
AT&T
I have 450 rollover minutes & 5000 night/weekend. Also unlimited mobile-to-mobile minutes
I have the 2 GB data plan. My texting is included in the data part.
I am paying $95 a month since DH company gets a discount!
The plan we had with Sprint was amazing and I loved them. The drawback with them was that they did not offer the iPhone and had no new phones out that I liked. We were getting a terrific deal on our phone plan since we got unlimited data, text and 500 minutes for $30 per phone. So it came to about $65 for two of us. They no longer offer that plan so I do not think you will find it.
