XP: Need some T&Ps

My dad's best friend's grandson is in the hospital on life support. The whole story is long and complicated. His daughter has had some trouble with the law and and is trying to get her life back on track so she can see her kids (she has a little girl, around 4 and the little boy who's 15 mo., they have different dads). While she was meeting with a lawyer her daughter's uncle was watching the little boy. Later she received a call that he had fallen down the stairs and was acting funny so they called 911. At the hospital after some tests they did a CAT scan and determined that he has shaken baby syndrome and his brain is pretty much mush. Even if he was to make it the left side of his brain would never come back.

The whole thing just breaks my heart. If you could send some prayers out to the family I would appreciate it. I know they have power even if they don't know you are doing it. My dad's friend is pretty much an uncle to me and we grew up with his kids, I feel awful this is happening to them.
