NER: Guess I made my decision....
I made an appointment to meet with my principal on Monday afternoon to inform him that I anticipate resigning in a month.
Crap...I can't believe I'm actually going to go through with this.
Wish me luck.
And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this Rock I will build my Church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.
Re: NER: Guess I made my decision....
Good luck!! I hope everything goes well for you!
Let us know what happens!
Good luck! And good for you for making a decision to take care of yourself. I know it wasn't an easy one.
Do you feel better, having made the decision? Sometimes I agonize over something so long that *any* decision either way is a relief in and of itself!
I'm glad you can head into the weekend having that decided...
Ditto, married! Even though it's hard sometimes, we have to remember to take care of ourselves sometimes.
Good luck with your meeting!
In some ways, yes. However, I also know I have to confront the boss and then my team. I've already told an Instructional Assistant on my team because I have shared personal things with her before and she was very understanding about it (and seems to think my boss will be too). In fact, she was surprised that I returned this year at all. This gives me hope ...but I'm still pretty anxious about it.
I so hope you're right married.
Chiming in late, but good luck!
Well, we just got the medical benefits info from my husband's company. Perhaps I should have realized this, but I thought the insurance kicked in as soon as we enrolled (this fall). It doesn't look like it kicks in until the beginning of the new calendar year, so I guess I have to stick it out 2 more months instead of one. It's too risky to go without insurance.
Although this sucks for me, it will give them more notice and time to find a replacement.
Ugh I'm sorry. But hopefully just knowing this has a definite end will help you get through it.
you positive you lose insurance immediately? One of my school districts paid insurance for the school year regardless of when you quit.
If they do end it immediately could you do Cobra? I hate that you have to go an extra month!
It's so funny that you ask this irish because it just came to me last night that when I left my last district to move to VT, I got benefits a full month after the date of resignation. I just sent an email to my local union rep to get the scoop!
GL!!!!!
