Halloween Poll

What was your favorite or most memorable halloween costume?

Re: Halloween Poll

  • I think when I was four or five, I wore a tiger costume and went as "Tigger."   My mom actually made the costume.  I loved it!
  • My mom and dad made me a statue of liberty costume one year and it was AWESOME!  Everyone else wore it at one time or another but I have yet to see another one like it.  Super easy to sew but so fun.
  • In high school once, I dressed like kind of a nerd, with an old men's sport coat, and fake glasses. No one knew who I was :)
  • We weren't too nutso about Halloween, but my fave was when my sis and I went as Snoopy and Woodstock. Too cute!

  • My recent years adult costumes have been WAY better than what I did when I was a kid (which was almost always being a witch).  In the past few years, I've been Tigger, 1/2 Angel 1/2 Devil, and a gangster chick.  Smile

  • As a kid one year, I dressed up as the local minor league team's mascot, "Slugger the Sea Dog."  I wore a team jersey and my mom sewed me some flippers/mittens and some ears onto the cap.

My favorite costume as an adult was as a Catholic school girl, complete with braids, knee-highs, and a teeny plaid skirt.  I liked this ensemble better than the one I wore as a legitimate Catholic school pupil some years earlier Stick out tongue

  • Cleopatra with hot pink hair...and a star wand.... Big Smile
  • I had some pretty good ones as an 80's child like Jem and She Ra. One year when I was about 11 maybe I was the Phantom of the Opera lol. In recent years though my best one has been the bride of Frankenstein...it was awesome!

I wish I had any idea where my pictures are! In my freshmen year 4 of us dressed as Red, Blue, Green and Yellow!

  • My favorite was a dead prom queen...I had my grandma's old prom dress and half I put blood on.... so part of me was all done up and pretty and the other I was a wreck....kind've morbid...and I was only like in 6th grade at the time but it was fun to make.

Most memorable was a bunny jumping out of a hat. I hated it! I had this huge hat around me and  was a freakin bunny inside of it. It was horrible to walk in and my mom made me wear it two years in a row. I wish I had a pic on my comp. to post!

  • I think my favorite costume was when I was four or five, I went as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz.  I wore my hair in long braids, my mom made the blue gingham dress, and painted my Keds with red glitter paint. At the time we had a "Toto" dog, so we took him trick or treating with us and it was perfect!  I was a lucky kid since my mom knew how to sew- she always made me awesome costumes.  I think my most memorable costume was maybe 6th grade? It was the year the movie Hocus Pocus came out. I wanted to go as one of those witches so mom made me a lace-up witch dress and a long hooded cape. It was awesome!
  • Of course I don't remember it, I've only seen pictures, but my mom dressed my sister as Little Bo Peep one year and I was her sheep.   It was actually pretty cute. :)

  • A few years ago I went as Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction - giant syringe sticking out of my chest, black wig, blood under the nose...it was awesome!!! It  was for one of the super elaborate Halloween parties in Detroit and even had my pic taken for the paper :)  People were coming up to me all night wanting me to do the twist - super memorable!!
