Ladies!! I miss you guys!! xoxo
So, my 31st bday is Sat, Nov. 6th. DH and i have tix to see Swan Lake that night so my bday celebration with friends will have to be on Fri the 5th. We normally have a party at our place, but i don't want to do that this year. I'm tired of our place getting loud and not being able to hear people, i'm tired of cooking and i'm tired of cleaning afterwards. I've always wanted to go to one of those Brazilian places where you get the red and green card and they bring you food as long as your card is green and then stop once you flip it over to red!! So i picked a place and sent out the Evite. I know it can be expensive, so i gave an estimated price per person in the info. I don't know if it's the price, but hardly anyone has answered or is coming!! (cue mini pity party)
So i'm wondering if i should try another place. Any suggestions? I'm thinking Manhattan, but i'm open to Brooklyn. For 10-15 people. Good food, fun, not too expensive...
Thanks!! ![]()
Re: Birthday dinner suggestions?
My first instinct is to say just go to the place YOU want to go. Who cares if no one goes? Have fun with DH and whoever shows up. I had a small impromptu birthday dinner this year it was really fun. I got to really catch up with the people who showed.
If you really want it to be a larger group, I?d recommend the new Shake Shack in Midtown. We are going to a birthday dinner there this week. It should be fun and cheap!
Unfortunately I don't have any ideas, but I do agree with Jenn...go where you want, it's your birthday!

I LOVE Plataforma! Is it not amazing? We typically have our family parties there. Love that place.
I would stick to the Brazilian place. I dont know which one you picked, but there are very affordable churrascarias in Little Brazil. Maybe its just the place you picked - ie: Plataforma is WAY more expensive than others...
