AW: My "Wife Chop" (PIP)
I guess it's too late to call it my post-wedding chop, so I'm calling it my wife chop! Here's the "before" pics, taken Friday night.

And here I am on Sunday (that's me in the denim jacket). I made my hair a bit darker also.

The 9+ inches that were taken off is being donated to Pantene's program. They partner with the American Cancer Society to provide free wigs to breast cancer patients (much less shady than Locks of Love, BTW, which charges thousands for its wigs).

Scroll right, Mel!
I love it!!! And I love that you donated your hair.. I didn't know Locks for Love was shady either, that's disappointing
Haha, duh!!! There is my blonde moment for the day! No offense to any blondes!
It looks great! Enjoy the lightness of it!

I LOVE it! You look great with that bob!
I'm debating whether to get my hair cut shorter (I'm scared to cut off so much hair, but this is the longest my hair has ever been!)

Thanks ladies! I looove it but am still getting used to it - I keep touching my hair!
Also, I should probably clarify the Locks of Love comment because "shady" might have been too strong of a word. LoL makes wigs for kids who suffer from a disease that causes them to not have hair - noble cause, right? Except that they don't use a majority of the hair that is donated, it is sold or thrown away. They only make a small number of wigs per year (I forget the number but want to say it's less than 100). Then they charge the kids' families for the wigs based on the families' income, but typically thousands of dollars. In comparison, Pantene Beautiful Lengths uses almost all the hair that is donated to them to provide FREE wigs to breast cancer patients. As I've mentioned in the past my sister is a breast cancer survivor, so this is a cause near to my heart. Just wanted to let you all know this in case you're thinking of donating your hair.

Woo Hoo - looks terrific!
And thank you so much for the information on the organization - I will definitely share it. A friend of mine has donated to Locks of Love at least once a year since we've known each other, and I know she would be happy to hear that there is an organization that does a whole lot more with her donation. I'm a "Becky Bald Head", so I never keep much hair :-)
It looks great!!
It's funny you post this because I DID do the post wedding chop, but I've decided that I want it shorter, so I'm taking off another few inches tonight. It's kind of a spur of the moment decision, but I'm pretty confident with it....and even if I regret it tomorrow, it'll grow back!

Thanks for the info about locks! I'll pass that along to my sister who does that often. She was blessed with beautiful, thick hair that grows and grows!
