How do I get a bird to stop pecking at my window?!
There's a cardinal (I think) that keeps pecking at our patio door window. It has been doing this for about a week. The curtain we have in front of the door is red. Thinking it liked the color I opened the curtain and it's still pecking! Any advice?

It's pecking at the actual glass? Not on the wood frame around the window? Interesting...
I just did a quick google search, and it sounds like sometimes cardinals do this when they're being territorial. They see their reflection and think it's another bird? Here's the first webpage that came up (I didn't look through all the others), but it sounds like there are some options for discouraging this behavior: http://www.wild-bird-watching.com/Cardinals-Windows.html
shoot it?
i kid. i kid.
Hehehe...
Something like this might help http://www.windowalert.com/windowalert.html?gclid=CP-F14Ps8aQCFUIUKgodM0Mo1Q
We use somethine like these at our nature center to stop birds from crashing into the windows.
