Suggestions

Good morning ladies!  Do any of you use a good face scrub/exfoliator?  I got a nasty sunburn this weekend at the airshow (and yes, I was using tons of sunscreen but I still ended up burned).  Now my face is dry and peeling.  I normally just use a philosophy wash but I think I need a scrub to get the dry skin off.  If you know of one please suggest it!  Thanks!

Re: Suggestions

  • I like to use St. Ives Green Tea scrub. It is one that doesn't burn and is pretty mild.  Otherwise I usually use one from Neutragena, it just depends.

  • I also use the St. Ives Apricot scrub. They make one with and one without salicyic acid, but of course, you would want the one without.

  • I use st ives scrub ussually and it works.

  • I use Neutrogena blue scrub daily. It's in a clear tube and the actual scrub is blue. The scrubby stuff is little beads, so they don't tear your skin. I don't use St. Ives apricot, since it has actual small pieces of peach pit in it and those can cause microtears in the skin.

For weekly deep exfoliation I use Kate Somerville Exfolikate. It's $$$, but you can get similar results from Alba brand Pineapple (or it might be Papaya, I can never remember) exfoliator.
