Well now, here's an interesting argument
I was perusing the comments on FoxNews.com following the Powell endorsement story (it took about 2.5 seconds to find a comment claiming that Powell did this solely because of skin color) and came across this argument.
What do Barack Obama and George Bush both have in common? Colin Powell has given support to both of them. Also, they both went to Ivy League schools undergraduate and both have advanced degrees from Harvard University. George Bush has an MBA and Barack has a JD from Harvard. Even Barack's father went to Harvard. If you want more of the same vote for Barack.
