H is on board with us naming our kids with our family tradition of the same initials first and last, but he doesnt want to have the same as the other cousins. I need some cute K names. Kate, Kathryn, Kyle, Kyla, are already taken. I am really not particular of Kevin, or Kenny, not sure why. I am just having a hard time coming up with some thing cute, plus our last name is really unique so I dont want to have too unique of a first name too. Help me out.TIA!
Re: Baby names
Wow, that's a whole lotta Ks. Definitely not my style, but to each his own.
Anyway, I have a little cousin named Killian if that helps. I always liked the name.
Yikes. I've never understood traditions like that, especially when it comes to the point of needing to make up names to fit the pattern (Duggars). Are you a Kardashian?
I mean, look at it....there's a Kate and a Kathryn? And a Kyle and Kyla?
Those are my two cents, but I'll at least give some input:
Kieran, Kimberly, Kristen, Kirsten, Kendra, Keith, Kristopher, Kelly, Kent
It is just something that My grandparents did and my parents kept on. Kyle is my brothers and Kyla is a cousin. Kate and Kathryn are on different sides (mom/dad) of the family. It's not set in stone, that we will do the K's but just and idea.
Karen's a pretty kick-ass name.
My niece's name is Kailyn.
I also like Kristen, Kara and Kari.
Karen, Kendall, Kendra, Kathleen, Kristina, Kristopher, Kip, Kory, Keith, Kimberly, Kyra
That's all I've got at the moment. And, as a teacher, I suggest be careful with the "cute" requirement. Some names are not so cute for a grown child/adult a they are for a baby.
I love Kendall too.
Kailey (Kaleigh), Kacy, Kaden, Kaleb, Kalista, Keeran
*peeking from behind lurker veil* I have a God Daughter named Kylenn, Love that name, we call her Kylie (Ki-Lee). Also Kiera and Kara (car-a) are pretty.
I've heard Kaiden for a boy, Kristopher, Kai and Kieth.
Good Luck!
Karen, Kathleen, Kaye, Kristen, Kirsten, Kayleigh, Kendall, Kennedy, Kelly
Karl, Kirk, Kent, Keegan
Please listen to this advice. Your son won't always be a cute little boy. And if you don't, at least give your kids a normal middle name so they have a fallback for when they grow up. And for the love of God, spell the names as traditionally as possible. Throwing Ys in there doesn't make you or your child you-neek.
We never intended to go with K's but just ended up that way (our last name is not a K). My daughters are Karen and Kristen.

Amen to that!!! "unique" names make me snicker at the parents for (generally) trying to make something new and jsut ending up with something that looks like a bag of scrabble tiles fell on the floor. Not unique-just silly.
My SIL's family are all K's. They have:
Ken, Kristen, Kevin, Kara, Kaitlyn, Kaileigh, and Kenton.
When H and I decide to have kids, our only set-in-stone requirement so far is no vowels. My brother and SIL have 4 kids, and they have all the vowels covered but U. And they are all long vowel sounds, so no vowels for us!
My SIL named her little girl Kaelyn. I also knew a guy named Kalen.
I like it.
Karleigh, Kitana.
Khol, Karter
Just be forewarned that if you do something like this, most people will mix up your kids names. Anyone I know with same sex children with same first name initial i can never remember who is who! I personally find it kind of annoying.
good luck though!
No, no, no, no, no. You cannot just throw in a K where a C normally would be. Cooper is bad enough because it rhymes with "pooper", which he most certainly will get called at least once when he's a kid. Kooper is horrible. Deliberately spelling a name wrong to keep up with a silly multi-generational name theme is absurd, and it's setting up a child for a lifetime spent correcting the spelling and/or pronunciation of his or her name.
If you absolutely must keep the K thing going:
Kelly, Kara, Karen, Kristen, Kendall, Katya, Kalea, Katrina, Katerina, Kathleen, Kay, Keziah, Keturah, Kiara, Kimberly, Kira, Kirsten, Kristine, Kristina, Krista
Kevin, Kenneth, Kai, Keaton, Keegan, Keith, Kendall, Keir, Khary, Khalil, Keiran, Kirby, Kirk, Knox, Kody, Kobe, Kumar
are all infinitely better than Kooper.
Meredith, 6-1-06 and Alex, 11-5-09
Kayla, Kimberly, Kyra, Kennedy, Kristen, Kendall, Kaylee, Katrina, Kelsey, Kendra, Kyrie
Kent, Kellen, Kai, Keaton, Kent, Kane, Keith, Keegan, Kian, Keefe, Kaspar, Kurt, Kiefer, Killian, Kipling, Kane
We have a lot of K's in our family.
My first name is Kami, my biological father is Kenton. and my grandmother was Kathleen.
I like old names... classics...
If you go with an unusual name, don't make it a wacky spelling. I know this is kinda dumb, but when I was a kid, and children had pencils with their names, etc... I never did because you couldn't find it spelled the right way!
Katalin, Katalina, Katarina, Keira, Kylie, Kaelani, Kaitlyn, Karlee (one of my colleagues), Katia, Kelsey
Boys:
Keanu, Kenneth, Kris, Kai, Kailan, Kane, Karl, Keifer, Kennedy, Kendall, Kingston, Kristian, Kurt
This is VERY TRUE!! I have a brother and a sister and everyone still got us mixed up b/c our names started with As. It will be even worse if you have cousins with Ks as well.
Yes, please I beg of you not to throw Ys around and toss around a K for a C especially if it's a name that's very traditionally spelled with a C. Think about your child's future email address! As someone with a complicated maiden name, it is a PITA to have to constantly spell out my last name because nobody can figure out how to spell it. Not to mention all the emails I never get because people don't bother to learn how it's really spelled.
And I'm partial to Kate or Katherine
ditto 100%
girl: katelyn, kathleen, kendall.
boy: kellen or kai
