You're obviously pissed off at something, but it's a bit of hyperbole to say that he calls her for EVERYTHING, isn't it?
I call my parents several times a week and get their advice on things. And I'm 40. I think if you have a good relationship with your parents or anyone else you trust and seek advice or guidance from them, it has nothing to do with anyone else.
So, what happened?
Maybe he's trying to reduce your stress and not bother you with things like venting?
