Ladies Who Know About Wine
I need some help please. So the last company that I interviewed with called me back and really wants me to come on board. They have an opening for wine sales! That's great, right? But I know nothing about wine! All I know is I like reds and not dry ones, lol.
Can anyone give the basic things about wines? Everything I've researched has been super long/in depth and way more than I can remember (or probably need to know). I just need some basics, I just don't want to go in the interview and sound like an idiot. Thanks ladies!

Congrats on the interview!! All I know about wine is I like it a lot. LOL!
The problem is that there is SO much to know about wine, I'm sure it's hard to find some general basic info. Wine Intro is a good website - a lot of topics, but each topic has a little info in it. If you looked at parts you were interested in, the info should be just enough to get your feet wet!
There is also a glossary on there, so you can browse through that to pick up some terms... Hope this helps!!
All of my wine knowledge came from working in restaurants, and it took a while to learn. My mother bought the book 'Wine for Dummies', and she said there was a lot of helpful stuff in there. I'm not sure what exactly you need to know, but you should be able to get something useful out of that book.

First off, Congrats! Hope I'm not too late.
Start with this page. This has a lot of great info. I like this site a lot.
This one has a list of all the grapes and that can help a lot.
Last this one is VERY important! They may use this as a test to know how much you know about the sweet bubbles.
