Two Recipes

These are fan favorites around here! Hope you girls enjoy them as much as we do!!

Stuffed Cabbage Casserole

2 lbs. ground beef (I used turkey)
2 lbs. cabbage
1 1/2 cup cooked rice
1 chopped onion
1 can tomato soup
1 1/2 cans water
1/2 - 3/4 cup ketchup
1 cup chopped celery

Saute onion and celery in frying pan. Brown meat and season to taste. Drain. Add rice, celery, and onion to meat. Mix tomato soup, water and ketchup together and add to meat mixture. Mix well. Shred cabbage into casserole dish. Pour meat mixture on top of cabbage. Cover and bake. Stir occassionally.

Bake at 375? for 1.5 hours.

NOTE: use the largest casserole dish you have - it makes a ton!!! I had to use two dishes.. 2 - 2 qt. casseroles.

Next time I make it, I'm going to try to do it in the crockpot. I bet it will be awesome!! Also, I will add garlic in to saute with the onion!

  • Sounds yummy!
Two souls but a single thought; Two hearts that beat as one image
  • Yum yum! Do you think I could cut up a pilsbury french loaf instead of the biscuits? I have that at home but  not the biscuits and thought I might try that one for dinner.
