Thoughts on the gubernatorial race?
From what I've read so far, I'm not liking either Deal or Barnes. I've heard from coworkers that Barnes was not well liked as former governor, do you agree?
Help a GA newbie-ish person out, please....thanks.

John Monds, all the way. Honestly, I just learned about him about a week ago. I'm on him like a cheap suit.
My concern with Monds is that he doesn't have any experience, but I don't know if that's any worse than Deal being corrupt and Barnes being inadequate.
I shall do some more research on this guy....
I won't express any specific opinions on the candidates here, but these are some things you ladies may want to think about:
1. In Georgia, you cannot write in a candidate who lost in their party's primary election. If you do, your vote will not count.
2. If you vote for a third party candidate, it makes it more likely that there will be a runoff between Barnes and Deal. In order to win, a candidate has to get over 50%. If no candidate gets over 50%, and there is a runoff, we will have to listen to their ads for another several weeks and still end up with one of them in office in the end.
3. Whoever becomes governor will have influence over the re-districting that will happen next year based on the new census. Whether you like it or not, gerrymandering is pretty much a fact of life, so this is still something to think about.
