Another Post About OBs :-/

Sorry if you guys get this a lot but has anyone delivered at Lakeside Women's Hospital? We just found out we are pregnant and I don't even have a regular OBGYN! Any suggestions?

Re: Another Post About OBs :-/

  • I did.  Just call and see what doctor has an opening.  They are all good, but I see Dr. Bishop and love her.
  • I delivered DS there and I had a good experience, but were I to become pregnant again, I would not deliver there again knowing what I know now about their c-section rate.  I saw Dr. Doeden, but Dr. Seres actually delivered him.

     Congratulations on your pregnancy!

  • No experience with Lakeside, just wanted to say congratulations!!
  • Congrats!  Lakeside is very nice, just be aware that they do not have a NICU and are not prepared if you have to stay more than a few days.  My friend had a high risk pregnancy and ended up having to be on bed rest there for a couple of weeks.  They were not prepared at all and when they did deliver her baby they had to move her to Baptist.  It ended up being very expensive.
  • Congrats!  I have seen Dr. Seres at Lakeside and while I thought she was nice I did not choose to continue care with her.  Good luck on your OB search.

May I ask why you chose Lakeside?

  • I've never had a baby, and if you're thinking about Lakeside, you're probably located in North OKC. BUT, I love my doctor in Norman so much I thought I would recommend her and her practice. I see Dr. Lashbrook at Women's Healthcare of Norman. I continued to see her even after I moved to N OKC last year. I've had some issues off and on for the past 3-4 years and everyone in the office has been so amazing. Here is their website.

No really important reason...I went there for my last exam and saw Dr. Palmer. She was alright. I just figured that it was pretty close to home and since it was a women's hospital.. blah blah. But I am totally open to all suggestions. Honestly, I am a total wimp and I'm interested in the doctor who knows their stuff yet will kind of baby me Embarrassed

Well if you are up for a bit of a drive and don't mind having a male doctor I will suggest Dr. Schultz.  I freaking LOVE him!  He is at OU.

  • If you are open to suggestion I would recommend Dr. Goff and both Mercy and Baptist are wonderful places to deliver.  Norman's new healthplex is amazing the rooms are gorgeous.
  • A friend of mine recently delivered at the new hospital in Norman and did not have a good experience at all.  They didn't attach her epidural correctly, so she was only numb on one side and while she was pushing, one of the nurses told her to quit screaming because she was going to scare the other ladies who were having babies.
