Does anyone know how to set the season pass (or other) recording device within TiVo to record only the original/new shows and not the 10,000 repeats that play during the week?
Basically the repeats are precluding the recording of other, original shows. So, for example, I got yet more reruns of The Daily Show and The Colbert Report today instead of the Sunday morning talk shows. 
I've tried increasing the "thumbs up" on the shows I want, but they continue to be recorded over by repeats.
Any suggestions?

If you solve this mystery, I would love to know how. I go back and forth between manually setting each show, then getting annoyed at myself for forgetting one, then switching to cleaning out my DVR every day until I get sick of that, and the cycle begins anew.
But I always put shows that don't have reruns higher in my priority list. I know Meet the Press only airs once or twice on Sundays and won't conflict with anything, so I put it at the top of my list.
It's in the season pass options - when you set the pass, change the recording options from "First Run and Repeats" to "First Run only"?

Hmm, sounds as though there is something nefarious going on with TDS.
