Would you be mad about this?

So, my sister is in town for a week. We no longer have an extra bed/bedroom so she was not planning on staying here, she was going to stay with a friend from work. Said friend has 2 little kids and one of them has a cold and a nasty yellow runny nose. My sister borrowed an air mattress and has been sleeping in the nursery here so she wasn't getting sick and or making Ella sick. Her friend is mad that she didn't stay there since we have been out and about and told her she could have picked up germs anywhere and she should have just stayed there like she planned.

I wouldn't be mad, but I think your sister should tell the friend that she was not going to take the risk of catching what her lo has and giving it to Ella.

I think i would be like, yeah you shouldnt stay here since you will be around a new born so much.

She did tell her that she wasn't staying because her daughter was sick and she's still mad. Her kids are very cuddly and Beth knows if she's at their house she will love on her kids and be very exposed to her germs.

If my kid were sick I would tell someone I would understand if they didn't want to stay at my house, regardless if they were going to be around a newborn or not. It seems silly to be mad at someone for not wanting to hang around with a sick kid, when you are in close quarters with someone you are more likely to pick up germs because your constantly exposed them, totally different than running around and being exposed to germs.
