Need Help with Resume Title
I'm hoping you girls can help me. I'm tryingto apply for jobs and I just applied for one on careerbuilder and it wants me to title my resume. I googled examples and it said that you want to write something that is eye catching like Results-Drive Accountant instead of just Accountant.
I'm looking for a position where I will be able to gain lab experience...so research assistant, lab tech, etc. tia!

Sounds good to me! Where's our science girls?
For something like that, I would probably use a title like "Analytical Methods (or Testing) Technician (or Associate)" or something to that effect. Most people will use MS/GC and HPLC for analytical testing and probably search that and a few related key words.
I would also put every single piece of equipment you've even remotely touched or been exposed to in your resume. You can write something like, "Limited experience performing analytical experiments utilizing x, y, z". It may be a far stretch, but doing things like that are what scored me at least phone interviews when they would have otherwise skipped right over my resume.
Also - a kick a$s cover letter is huge. I had a lot of people call me back and specifically tell me, "You're not really 100% qualified for the job, but you wrote a great cover letter. I want to talk to you more about your qualifications."
