Re: Caroline...doc update?
2 cm dilated and 90% effaced... so I made progress.
Doc says she doesn't give me more than a week, expects it to be the next couple of days but I'm not even listening! I know it could be days or I might make it to 42 without anything happening - I don't know why doctors even try to make predictions!
I have been having contractions this afternoon, not painful, but uncomfortable. I wasn't noticing them before, I thought the baby was just sticking her butt out but she told me that those are contractions and now I'm completely noticing them, esp as they're starting to be accompanied by small pain. My doc will be at the hospital Fri and Sat night so it would be cool if she came while she was there. She's off on vacation on Sunday for 2 weeks.
If nothing happens I have another appt on Tues where they'll do a stress test, then they'll see me again at 41 wks 3 days and then induce at 41 wks 5 days. Let's hope it's not that long!
Thats why my docs don't even check you at the end. No reason to get you all stressed for nothing. I am so glad I didn't know and my water broke on its own. I'm just glad that she came early! Hopefully the next time will be like that.
