Huge wedding party

This was posted by friend of a friend on FB.  Does one really need 25 attendants in the wedding party?  They seriously couldn't cut it down?

  • Zane's cousin's wedding was like this, AND they all walked down the aisle individually, not in pairs. The processional and recessional took for-ev-er,

That's just the tip of the iceberg in a sea of redonkulous.

  • Holy crap balls. What is even the point?
  • That's crazy, even if I had the desire to have a large wedding party, I wouldn't have the patience for coordinating all those people.

A friend's sister had a bridal party about that size-I think 10 on each side plus a few flower girls/ring bearers. One of the groomsmen didn't show up for the wedding with no explanation before or after, I guess he figured they wouldn't notice.

I'm pretty sure it's pronounced your mom's a moron and if you didn't have your name legally changed by the age of 22, so are you. Unless you're from another continent. -Groomz
  • Who do they invite as guests besides parents' friends?

    exactly.

i don't know that i know that many people well enough for them to be in my wedding.  we each had one attendant and that was perfect.

  • When they go back to look at their wedding album on their 20th anniversary, they're going to forget who a lot of those folks were.
  • My BIL and SIL had 12 BM/GM, plus a junior BM/GM, two candlelighters, two flowergirls, and I think maybe only one ringbearer.  Their wedding party photo puts this one to shame!

So you think there's no one left to invite?  Well they invited 600 people, so that wasn't a problem, apparently!  I don't think it was too expensive, either -- Oh the benefits of getting married in small town Missouri.

  • The worst I've ever seen was....no joke.....14 bridesmaids, 14 groomsmen. I still can't get over that one.

  • And I thought I had a big one.

  • Sorority girl married frat boy?  Those tend to be the huge wedding parties in my experience, at least those in spaghetti straps.

  • What do you do with that many attendants?  Why would you want to coordinate that many people?  It's just stupid.

  • We had a client 2 years ago with 42 people in the bridal party.  They had 600 guests.

  • My wedding party was only 3 and they are dropping like flies. One was the cheater girl, one is my brother's wife who I am pretty sure he is divorcing this year, so only one left. I wonder if quantity would have been a better plan for me.
  • I find this excessive, but I judge lots of adult BMs/GMs less than wedding parties with scads of flower girls, ring bearers, minibrides, etc.
