The ghosts, the goblins, the vampires-
Oh my!
The candy, the costumes,
the witches that fly...
Halloween is almost here
but before the trick or treating quest
Get your whine off your chest

Re: **Whine Wednesday**
DH's family was going to go out to dinner for Thanksgiving, so I told my mom we wouldn't be over for dinner, but would come over for dessert later on. I know she was bummed, but okay with it.
DH now doesn't want to go out to dinner, he wants me to cook. Fine, I don't mind, but now we have 3 dinners going on - 1)out, 2) mom's 3) my house.
It doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
I need a break- from everything...
John has to go to Binghamton for a committment- he's going to miss school on friday- my dad was supposed to pick him up but he's having car issues- he can take the bus on thursday night but I might have to get him on sunday...
There just aren't enough hours in the day and things I really care about (making enzo's food- trying to take him out and keep him on a schedule) has really gone to pot and it makes me upset...
and I'm so angry with my dad and stepmonster....I cant even articulate it...
Just got out of a meeting with some school admin. Went great, but nothing like getting hit on by dean of students openly in the meeting to the point that someone intervenes to "save" me.
And it's rainy and I didn't sleep since we had tornado watches/warnings all night.
One of the teachers here sent a girl to the office because her skirt was TOO short. I saw it and agreed as did other teachers. The principal sent her back saying she just needed to pull it down. The girl couldn't possibly pull it down any more or she would be showing her stomach. When the girl sat down she was pulling her skirt down, clearly uncomfortable. We just had a conference YESTERDAY about consistency. Seriously - you don't undermine the authority of a teacher in front of a student - even if you don't agree with the teacher. I completely agree with the teacher and even if I didn't, I would have made the girl change and then talked to the teacher. Obviously yesterdays speaker went in one ear and out the other with the principal - the ONE person that needs to hear what the speaker had to say the MOST out of any of us!
Talk to those teachers. Just tell them that if you want to talk/vent about something, do it privately and not in front of your student teacher. I completely agree with you - teachers that are enthusiastic and fun are the most effective IMO and those that have negative attitudes towards kids have no effect over them.
